GO GOVS!

The race will be held at William Blount on September 7th 2024. The address to the school is 219 County Farm Rd. The event will consist of a competitive 5k with prizes for the top 3 qualifiers, a 2 mile color run consisting of orange and blue powder to show support for our Govs and Lady Govs, and a 1 mile fun run/walk. It is important to note the COMPETITIVE 5K AT 9:00 am IS THE ONLY RACE WHERE PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN OUT. The 5k is set to begin at 9:00 am, the color run at 10:00 am and the 1 mile at 10:20 am.

 

The course of the race will be mapped out on WBHS campus. Checkpoints/hydration stations will be placed along the course for racers' safety. A color dusting will take place at the finish line for both color runners. Please take into consideration health issues and liabilities with the color run. WBHS is not responsible for any complications due to the color powder (as noted in the waiver). Our athletes and volunteers working this event are expected to uphold and are in understanding of the safe practices of distributing this powder.

 

*Although we have a designated color run, 1 mile participants will be finishing up at the same time so you have the option to go through the color powder as well!

5k racers should begin lining up no later than 8:50 am. Color run participants should line up at 9:50 am and 1 mile participants at 10:10 am. For course, prize, and safety details click HERE!
 

Registration: Adults (age 16 & up) will be charged $25 and children (15 & younger) will be $15 no matter which race. Your registration fee includes your parking and admission to the event. Spectators will not be charged anything other than if they are to purchase from vendors or items being sold by the William Blount track team. We encourage everyone to register online however there will be paper registration available to be filled out on the day of the race.
